Dr. Hecker is a native of Chicago, Illinois, but moved to Louisiana and attended LSU-New Orleans, where he received his degree in 1990. Both his internship and residency in internal medicine were obtained at Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Dr. Hecker served on the Executive Committee of Baton Rouge General Hospital, is presently serving on the Executive Committee of the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society. He is a member of the Civil Air Patrol, and holds a pilot’s license. He is a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for Class I, II and III FAA aviation physicals. Dr. Hecker came to the Baton Rouge Clinic in July, 1993, and acquired board certification with the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1995.  |
