Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery
Surgical weight loss is intended for those individuals who have metabolic disorders with significant obesity or for those with mobid obesity who have attempted conservative weight loss measures and have failed to achieve their weight loss goals. Our skilled Bariatric surgeons, Dr. Jonathan Taylor and Dr. James Froelich, are post residency trained in laparoscopic surgical procedures as well as the gastric sleeve and the lap band procedures.
Our surgeons provide free public seminars at both the Baton Rouge General and Woman's Hospitals. As they are scheduled, programs will be posted will be noted in our announcements section on the home page of this site.

- Lap-band Gastric Banding System
- The LAP-BAND® Adjustable Gastric Banding System was the first U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved adjustable gastric band for use in weight reduction. It was approved by the FDA in June 2001 and is the newest and the only adjustable surgical treatment for morbid obesity in the United States. It induces weight loss by reducing the capacity of the stomach, which restricts the amount of food that can be consumed.

Urology
Urology is concerned with the study, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the urinary tract in females and of the male genitourinary tract. Our physicians are capable of the medical management of disorders such as kidney stones, recurrent bladder infections, or impotence.
Fully aware of the sensitive nature of urogenital disorders, our physicians exercise great care before recommending surgical procedures and offer minimally invasive and robotic solutions to treatment of prostate cancer and prostatic enlargement (BPH).

Vascular Surgery
Vascular surgery is a surgical subspecialty that address blocked or partially blocked blood vessels that put an organ or limb at risk. Our Board Certified vascular surgeon is skilled in the use of minimally invasive placement of stints, endivascular sleeves, and endovasular surgery that actually reduces aretiosclerotic plaque burder. However, surgery for certain types of blockages and conditions may still be necessary.
