Specialty Services
The Baton Rouge Clinic Osteoporosis Center offers a comprehensive program of education, evaluation, and treatment and/or consultative recommendations regarding osteopenia (bone loss) and osteoporosis. The osteoporosis center’s services are available to all individuals, whether newly diagnosed or with a long established diagnosis, by either self-referral or by physician directed referral.
Our physicians are board certified in either skeletal (Rheumatology) or endocrine (Endocrinology) specialties and follow best practices care for all forms of osteoporosis and osteopenia, in both males and females. Just taking the correct medications is not sufficient to address osteoporosis completely.
While all cases of osteoporosis are managed aggressively, the osteoporosis program at the Baton Rouge Clinic is uniquely capable of evaluating and managing 1) osteoporosis that is resistant to treatment, or 2) individuals whose bone density scores continue to deteriorate in spite of their current treatment plan.
